Your first Steel Fighters goal is one complete, dependable robot—not the largest collection. Claim the official social rewards, assemble a fighter, use the Arena to find its first real limit, gather Scrap in the Junkyard, upgrade that same fighter, and retest. This loop teaches what your account needs without burning every resource on parts you have not compared.
The official Roblox description confirms the big pieces: parts from more than 100 robots, endless floors, bosses, the Junkyard, upgrades, Rebirth, player challenges, a +50% Cash friend bonus, and free social rewards. Exact costs, drop odds, and reset details can change, so read the current client whenever this guide tells you to confirm a panel.
Step 1: claim the free start
Open the official Steel Fighters experience and confirm that the creator is WeShowProjects. The description advertises a free robot for liking the experience and joining the group, free robot parts for favoriting it, and more Cash while playing with friends.
Complete only the actions you want associated with your Roblox account. Return to the game, open the reward prompt, and let the HUD finish loading. If the claim remains incomplete, rejoin a fresh server after Roblox reflects your Like, Favorite, or group membership. These are social rewards, not promo codes; the Free Rewards guide has the full receipt checklist.
Step 2: build one complete robot
Recent gameplay recordings show a Craft Station with six selections: Head, Torso, Left Arm, Right Arm, Left Leg, and Right Leg. Open the current build panel and follow the labels it shows. Fill every required slot before confirming. If a part has a displayed level, source robot, effect, or rarity, record it exactly.
For the first build, prefer complete slot coverage and readable values over an unsupported “best robot” claim. Keep spare parts until you understand Index completion, Fusion, and matching-set behavior. A duplicate may still be needed for a left/right slot or a later complete set.
Give the robot a short label in your notes and capture all six choices. That record becomes the baseline for upgrades and Arena comparisons. The Robot Parts Guide explains how to compare one slot change without losing the old result.
Step 3: use Arena to find the wall
Enter the Arena and let the robot advance until a floor or boss becomes unreliable. Record the floor, selected robot, equipped Title, and result. Recent gameplay shows retreat and recovery controls, but read the current button before using them because leaving can affect a run or streak.
Do not call the first loss bad luck and immediately pull more parts. Watch whether the robot lacked damage, lost too much health, entered a recovering state, or simply needed another attempt. Repeat once under the same conditions. A repeated failure gives you a useful target for the next upgrade.
Step 4: run the Junkyard loop
Go to the Junkyard when Scrap is the bottleneck. Current community records describe a simple route: collect junk, deliver it to home before carrying capacity blocks more pickups, receive Scrap, and spend Scrap on robot improvements. Use visible landmarks and return in short loops until you understand hazards and capacity.
The current client may show junk rarities, carry upgrades, events, raids, or later-area modifiers. Do not assume a value from a screenshot applies to your server. The Junkyard Guide separates ordinary delivery from raid or event rules and helps you compare complete round trips.
Step 5: upgrade the robot you test
Choose one improvement tied to the failure you observed. Capture the robot’s before state, buy the upgrade, and return to the same Arena floor. If the clear becomes reliable, the purchase solved a real problem. If the robot fails in the same way, stop repeating the upgrade and check parts, another stat, or a different progression layer.
Avoid spreading early Scrap across every robot. One primary fighter makes the effect visible and leaves spare builds available for the Index, Fusion, or later modes. The Upgrades Guide covers ordinary upgrades, Index benefits, and other update-sensitive layers without merging them into one guessed formula.
Step 6: equip a title for the task
Open Rewards and inspect the Titles tab if it exists in your current interface. Community-corroborated records document 22 titles and report one active title at a time. Early targets include Rookie at level 10, Scrapper after 100 junk deliveries, Master Builder after 60 robot builds, and Tower Climber at floor 100.
Use Cash for Cash farming, Scrap for Junkyard sessions, Luck only on a roll system that responds to it, Arena Damage for a damage wall, and Walk Speed for travel-heavy routes. Verify the current row before grinding. Start with the Titles List and build an efficient route through Title Progression.
Step 7: decide whether Rebirth is worth the reset
Rebirth is a long-term decision, not a button to press at a copied level. Open the current Rebirth panel and copy every item under its reset, keep, and next-benefit sections. Community screenshots report that an early Rebirth can reset Cash and Scrap while keeping robots and their levels, but the live panel is the final authority.
Rebirth when the permanent benefit and higher ceiling are worth rebuilding the temporary balances. Before confirming, spend resources that would otherwise vanish when that spending still helps, select a retained main robot, equip an appropriate Title, and know the first route you will use afterward. Read the Rebirth Guide before pressing the final confirmation.
A clean first-hour route
Mistakes that slow a new account
- Spending all Cash or Scrap without naming the next test.
- Replacing all six parts at once, then not knowing why the result changed.
- Fusing spare robots before reading exactly what the action consumes.
- Repeating an Arena loss without an upgrade, part change, or recovery decision.
- Equipping one Title forever even when its benefit does not match the current activity.
- Confirming Rebirth without a screenshot of the current reset and keep lists.
- Copying codes or links from a similarly named game.
What still needs current-client verification
Part odds, full robot stats, complete boss data, exact upgrade costs, Rebirth values, Junkyard capacity, Trials rules, PvP rules, and individual codes are not fully published on official surfaces. Use the page routes above to make progress with supported facts while leaving unknown fields blank.
