Steel Fighters uses several modes to test different parts of your account. Arena is the repeatable floor climb and boss route. Junkyard is the collection and Scrap loop. Trials was officially named for Update 1 but needs a current-client read for its exact entry, objectives, and rewards. PvP is the player-challenge layer confirmed by the official description, with detailed rules still dependent on the live interface.
Choose a mode because it answers a current progression question. Arena tells you whether a robot can advance. Junkyard supplies the resource route tied to upgrades. Trials can be approached only after reading its current panel. PvP tests a player matchup and may support its own milestone, but it should not be treated as identical to Arena combat.

Open the PvP guideUse Arena as the benchmark
The official description calls out endless floors and powerful bosses. That makes Arena the most useful repeatable benchmark for a robot build. Pick a floor or boss that is difficult but reachable, record the build and selected Title, and attempt it under stable conditions. A change is useful when it improves clear reliability, survival, or recovery across repeated attempts.
Recent gameplay shows RETREAT, TELEPORT, and a recovering state during floor progression. These controls are current community evidence rather than a timeless rule. Read the current buttons before pressing them, especially if leaving can end a streak or discard a reward.
The Arena Guide also separates highest-floor milestones from total floor wins and consecutive wins. Those counters support different documented Titles and should not be merged.
Use Junkyard when Scrap is the bottleneck
The official experience description explicitly sends players to the dangerous Junkyard to find Scrap and upgrade robots. Current guides consistently describe a collect-and-deliver loop: gather junk, return or deliver when capacity is full, then spend Scrap on the robot you use.
Exact junk rarity, carrying capacity, event timing, hazards, raid rules, and later-area multipliers require the current client. The Junkyard Guide focuses on route efficiency that remains valid without guessed numbers: empty before entering, use stable landmarks, deliver before capacity blocks pickups, and compare total round-trip value rather than one attractive item.
If the mode exposes a raid or event timer, read its rules separately from ordinary collection. A title requirement for Junkyard raid wins proves that a win counter exists in the current community record; it does not by itself establish matchmaking, loss penalties, or a guaranteed reward.
Approach Trials as a newly added system
Trials is part of the official Update 1 feature list. The public event description does not explain the entrance, team size, attempt limit, difficulty ladder, or reward table. Any guide that supplies those details without a dated current-client panel should be treated as provisional.
The Trials Guide gives a safe entry checklist: locate the official panel, record its requirement and objective, compare the displayed reward with the cost, select a known robot, and test one attempt without assuming that Arena retreat or recovery works the same way.
If the mode is temporarily absent, locked, or changed after an update, check the official event and current experience update time. Do not create a second account, spend Robux, or follow an unofficial executable simply to reach it.
Treat PvP as its own ruleset
The official description confirms that players can challenge other players. Community-corroborated title data includes Duelist for 50 PvP wins, which supports a tracked win milestone. It does not establish whether opponents are matched, selected in the server, or fought through a dedicated queue; nor does it prove rewards, robot loss, or ranking.
Before the first meaningful match, inspect the prompt for the win condition, selected robot, entry cost, reward, cooldown, and consequences of leaving. Use a build record so a defeat can be interpreted. The PvP Guide emphasizes repeatable matchup learning and account safety rather than promising a universal winning robot.
Pick the next mode by need
Mode preparation that carries across sections
Use one stable robot and write its six parts, upgrades, permanent boosts, and equipped Title. Empty or record resource balances before a costly mode. Read every current confirmation prompt. If the server has an event modifier, friend bonus, or temporary speed control, include it in the result.
After the mode, record what changed: highest floor, total wins, streak, resources, Index completion, title progress, or a displayed reward. A mode is worth repeating when its result feeds the next account decision. A flashy encounter with an unclear reward may still be fun, but it should not be described as the fastest progression route without data.
Bosses and Titans
Powerful bosses are part of the official core description, and Update 1 officially names Titan Bosses. Public official text does not provide a complete roster, spawn timer, floor assignment, health value, or drop table. Keep Boss and Titan claims inside the mode where they are observed until a reproducible record supports a dedicated entity page.
When a boss blocks progress, note the mode, world, floor or trigger, robot, recovery state, reward screen, and UTC time. Repeat under the same conditions before turning a single encounter into a general schedule.
Evidence boundary
Arena floors, bosses, the Junkyard, player challenges, and Update 1 Trials are official features. Most detailed mode rules remain community-reported or need in-game testing. This hub therefore gives you a route, location, choice, and operation without inventing a floor cap, cooldown, attempt count, or guaranteed reward.
Check Updates after a patch, then return to the relevant mode page. The mode directory remains stable even when the current rule table changes.
